Why Did I Choose Rocket Japanese

It is commonly agreed upon by linguist experts that by getting students to start speaking a new language as early as possible is the smartest way to help them learn the language quickly, and as I mentioned this is exactly what Rocket Japanese do.

As far as the audio lessons go they are very well presented in an easy to follow manner. You will find learning is easy and fun. For example you will be able speak Japanese at a train station and ask for tickets, times and where trains are going etc...and loads more cool stuff after only a few weeks.

I think the key to why Rocket has such as high success rate compared to other courses, is because they teach you 'how' the sentences are made up, and don't just rely on teaching lots of words, so you actually understand Japanese rather than just memorize phrases.

The other feature I love about Rocket Japanese is their built in software learning games. These are great programs that use pictures and audio to teach and test your vocabulary, writing and grammar in a fun interactive way. They use images and audio clips and no other Japanese course I looked at had these extra vocabulary building software games included.

The reason I think this aspect of Rocket is so good is that they teach you both grammar and vocabulary in a nicely balanced way so that you learn quickly and other courses don't do this. A lot of courses either bog you down in boring grammar lessons or just get you memorising loads of words and you end up knowing plenty of words, but are not able to speak Japanese in conversation. Where as Rocket Japanese get you speaking straight away.

Finally Rocket Japanese has the online support in their very active forum, which is brilliant, and no I don't mean for technical help but for actual Japanese help. When you need to ask a question about a topic or lesson you can use this feature.

One slight negative of this course though, if you can call it that, is that it is not heavily focussed on writing Japanese, and is more heavily focussed on speaking. They do teach Japanese writing, however as the majority of people want to learn how to speak Japanese first, they have tailored the course to better suit these needs.
