NOTE: Below are cardinal numbers and are not used for counting numbers of people, objects or animals. We cover counting numbers on page two. Also you will recognise the numbers 4, 7 and 9 have two variations and they are interchangeable.

Two = Ni
Three = San
Four = Yon/Shi
Five = Go
Six = Roku
Seven = Sichi/nana
Eight = Hatchi
Nine = Kyuu/ Ku
Ten = Juu
One Hundred = Hyaku
One Thousand = Sen
Ten Thousand = Ichiman
Different Combinations
Eighteen = Juu Hatchi
Twenty Five = Ni Juu Go
Forty One = Yon Juu Ichi
