Counting in Japanese Continued...
Now that you have learned the cardinal numbers, I am going
to teach you what we call 'Ordinal Numbers' which are 1st, 2nd,
3rd... and after this I will teach you how to count numbers of
people and objects also.
Ordinal Numbers:
Well done!! Now lets look at counting objects. Please
note that you do not need to add the word for
1,2,3..etc..before the counter as the word itself already
indicates the number. For example if I were counting 2
Coffee's I would not say ni futa-tsu koohii but would
simply say futa-tsu koohii.

Let's have a look:
When we are considering the amount of people when counting
in Japanese we use the counter "Nin", therefore six people
would simply be roku-nin and so on.
