Human Japanese Review

This Human Japanese Review covers the benefits of the course and some potential limitations that I see in it. I will briefly discuss the features, ease of use and comparison to other products I have experienced.

Human Japanese is relatively new and shows some good potential as a learn from home Japanese course. The layout is very clean and it is easy to navigate around the website.

Essentially the course is based around text based lessons with audio files mixed in amoung them. They will show you what a word means and how it is spelt in the hiragana for example and you can then click the characters and listen to a native Japanese speaker pronounce it correctly.

The first thing I feel I need to say though regarding a limitation with Human Japanese is that, compared to other courses that I have used it tends to lack the interaction and multimedia components that make learning a language especially Japanese fun. This can potentially be more of an issue with children, as they lose interest quickly.

In addition to this there is no video and a very limited amount of images, so visual learners again may find their learning lacking in stimuli.

There is however quizzes to test yourself and you can also track your progress which is cool feature.

There is a great feature with the online forum that they have, where you can interact with other people doing the Human Japanese course. I like this feature because it gives you a chance to post questions that you are stuggling with and develop online relationships with other keen Japanese learners, and this can be a good way to practice.

Another limitation that I see with this course also is that there is not very much focus on learning Kanji, which is one of the three Japanese writing scripts used today. There is a small amount of focus on the other two, hiragana and Katakana and they do show you how to makes the correct strokes when writing. However the focus of this product is speaking Japanese so this can be overlooked.

Overall Human Japanese is a good enough product to learn Japanese but the lack of multimedia and interaction from the student is the biggest turn off for me. With so many other top class courses available these days I wouldn't select Human Japanese as my choice of Japanese learning products.

The best that I have seen is Rocket Japanese. This course has all the bells and whistles of a world class language learning tool and you can rest assured of it's quality because it is created by the language giants Rocket Languages and they are with out doubt very professional and experienced in developing language courses.

I grabbed a copy of Rocket Japanese recently and have been very happy with it and more than impressed. You can check out their course for yourself if you want, by clicking the following link: Visit Rocket Japanese Website
